Kiss and Ride Tips and Tricks

Kiss and Ride Tips and Tricks

Thank you for your patience, smiles and kind words as we ensure the safe arrival and dismissal for our more than 600 students and community members who travel along Churchill Road and surrounding streets.  We realize that the traffic in our kiss and ride is heavy, so we have created some Kiss and Ride Tips and Tricks to support you in the days ahead!

  • Our morning kiss and ride runs from 8:25-8:35 a.m.  The heaviest period is from 8:25-8:30 a.m.
  • Our afternoon kiss and ride runs from 3:20-3:30 p.m. The heaviest period is 3:25-3:30 p.m.
  • Always turn right:  Drivers may only turn right when turning IN and OUT of our parking lot from Churchill Road.  Left hand turns will not be able to be made.  Please do not make U-turns.
  • Student drop off:  Please do not drop students off on Churchill Road.  All students must cross at the crosswalk at the direction of our crossing guard. We want to ensure safety in every way.
  • Please stay alert by not being on your phone:   Many of our staff members are out directing traffic to provide us with a more efficient arrival and dismissal.  Please stay alert to staff requests.
  • Snuggle up close to the car in front of you: If every car moved just 2 or 3 inches closer to the car in front of them, we could fit almost 2 additional cars in the line.
  • Remember to have your Kiss and Ride sheet in your passenger window! You should have received a paper with your last name printed on it at either open house or the first day of school.  Please be sure to have this in your passenger window. When the cars move forward, having that sign enables us to track where you are in the line, which helps us pair you and your child up more efficiently.  Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher if you need a sign.

We look forward to increasingly smoother transitions daily and appreciate your support.

Sincerely,
