Kings Park First Week Round Up
What a great first week of in person school! As we all work to get back in the groove, we wanted to reinforce these top wonderings/reminders with you. We also want to extend our gratitude for the teamwork of all, as we welcome back 600+ Kings Park Lions. Our community is strong and ready for the year ahead!

Wonderings and Reminders
Dismissal- There was an error in this week's Tuesday's KIT, our apologies. KPES doors open at 8:30am and dismissal begins at 3:20pm. We dismiss as a school in the following waves:
3:20pm Kiss and Ride
3:23pm Walkers/SACC
3:25pm Buses dismissed one at a time (in the order they arrive)
*Buses and overall dismissal is projected in each classroom via the smartboard. Groups are dismissed by their teacher, one at a time, so that staff can supervise students exit via their doorway (as other staff guide in the hallway/bus ramp). Once the hallway is clear the next group/bus is dismissed.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students, any day. Should a student want a second of any item, that is for a charge.
*Breakfast and snack are eaten in the classroom with spacing
*Daily lunch is accomplished at each grade level with 4 classes spaced and eating in the café and 2 classes spaced eating in their classroom. Lunch is delivered to the classroom for the classes that eat in the rooms, and classroom lunch rotates each month. Therefore, September 1st there will be 2 new classes that will eat in their classroom at each grade level. This set up allows us to provide for distancing in the cafeteria and the ability to stagger students at our tables and additional spaces so that no one is directly facing another student while eating.

Kings Park ES Reminder: Arrival and Dismissal Locations
Please see the below map that illustrates students arrival and dismissal. Our school doors will open at 8:30am. As a reminder for our walking families, FCPS only permits service animals on school grounds.
