Reminders for the First Day of School Tomorrow

Here are just a few reminders for the first day of school: 

  • Our bell schedule is 9:15am-4:00pm daily. 
  • Doors will open at 9:00am each morning. 
  • Please make sure your child is wearing a mask that fits. We recommend bringing additional masks in case one gets wet, dirty, etc. 
  • Students can receive a free breakfast and lunch each day. Breakfast will be “grab & go” and five days of hot lunches are returning this year. The menus are available at FCPS Nutrislice- Floris 
  • Parents should screen their child each day for illness and any student presenting any signs of illness should remain at home. Details can be found at the FCPS Return to School page. 

  • For students' safety and to implement layered protection strategies, we will ask families to say goodbye to students at the exterior doors and allow staff members assigned throughout the building to get all students to class safely. 

Returning to school is always a big adjustment in many ways. Please allow extra time for arrival and dismissal during the first week of school. We will all be establishing new routines, and your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
