Lake Anne would like to announce that Mr. Shin will be transitioning to a new position starting next week. He has spent the past three years making a positive impact at Lake Anne and we will miss him. Mr. Shin will be moving to Thoreau Middle School to serve as an assistant principal. This is a wonderful opportunity for him to continue his professional growth on the middle school level.
Mr. Shin says, “Thank you to all Lake Anne families, students, staff, and community members, for making this an amazing school to work and serve in over the past three year. Have a great year Dolphins! I will miss you.”

The first day of school is Monday, August 23rd.
Official school hours are 8:50am-3:35pm.
Doors will open for students at 8:30am.
We can't wait to see all of our Dolphins again!!

 Masks are required for all students, staff, and visitors when inside Fairfax County Public School buildings and busses, regardless of vaccination status. Please remember to pack extra masks for your student to wear during the school day.
In order to alleviate large groups of students using the same doors, all students will enter and exit the school through designated doors.
- Walkers - Entrance #1 (Main Entrance)
- Kiss & Ride - Entrance #2 (Library)
- Bus and Daycare - Entrance #3 (Cafeteria)
Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:30am. Please ensure that students arrive to school by 8:50am. Dismissal will being at 3:35pm.
The Lake Anne School supply list is available on the Lake Anne webpage. It is organized by grade. Please bring school supplies to the main office or your student may bring it directly to their classroom. |
