LCES Updates, 8/18/21: Open House Information

Open House

Open House Events This Week!

We are excited to be hosting in-person Open House Events tomorrow and Friday! Your child/children will have the opportunity to visit Lees Corner, see their classroom, and meet the classroom teachers!

This year, Open House is intended to be a QUICK meet and greet with the teacher, student and immediate family members only (ie. student + parents). Keeping the group sizes small and the visits quick will help ensure the continued health and safety of all! Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members will love hearing your child tell stories and show pictures from Open House!

Kindergarten Open House:

  • Thursday, August 19th from 9:00 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. Parents will go to their child's classroom for a presentation by the classroom teacher.
  • At about 9:45 a.m., Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to get on a school bus and go for a quick ride through the neighborhood. This is an exciting opportunity for students who will be bus riders this year to experience what it will be like to ride a school bus! School staff members will ride the bus with students and parents will wait at the school.

Grades 1-3 Open House:

  • Thursday, August 19th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Drop by anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. to visit your child's classroom and meet your child's teacher.
  • You may bring your child's school supplies and drop them off in the classroom so your child won't have to carry everything themselves during the first week of school.

Grades 4-6 Open House:

  • Friday, August 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Drop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to visit your child's classroom and meet your child's teacher.
  • You may bring your child's school supplies and drop them off in the classroom so your child won't have to carry everything themselves during the first week of school.

For families who prefer to participate virtually, please email your child's teacher to get information on a virtual Meet and Greet.
