We are excited for the start of the school year at Katherine Johnson Middle School (KJMS)! We are inviting your family to this year's EagleFest which will take place on Thursday, August 19th. EagleFest is a chance for students and families to:
- Walk the building with your schedule - see your classrooms and take some time to figure out how to navigate the building on day 1!
- Meet other KJMS families or catch up with old friends! This year's EagleFest will have an outdoor party along the Bevan side of the building:
- Inflatables - We will have 2 large inflatables for family fun (Turbo Rush, Rock Climb Slide)
- Music - We will play a family friendly playlist to set the mood
- Food - Food trucks and vendors will be selling food during each session
- Shade - We will have shade tents setup in the grassy area along the Bevan side of the building - bring a blanket and get comfortable
- Celebrate the end of Summer and the start of a great School Year at KJMS!
Sessions
We have 4 sessions for families to choose from on Thursday, August 19th:
- Session 1 - 8:30am - 10:00am
- Session 2 - 11:00am - 12:30pm
- Session 3 - 2:30pm - 4:00pm
- Session 4 - 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Translation Services
We will have translators in the Library to assist families during the following sessions:
Korean - Sessions 3 and 4
Mandarin - Sessions 3 and 4
Spanish - Sessions 1,2,3 and 4
Food
There will be food for sale during each Session:

Due to limited parking, we are asking families to sign-up for one 90 minute session. During the 90 minute session, you can choose how to best utilize your time (inside and outside of the building).
*Masks are required by all participants while inside the building - please make sure to bring a mask:)
