Note from Dr. Goodloe:

Dear Rocky Run Families and Students,

On behalf of the entire Rocky Run MS staff, it is my pleasure to welcome each and every one of you to the 2021-22 school year.  We are beyond excited to be back home in our beautiful building and to engage our students for five days per week of in-person learning.  Our staff is energized and ready to reconnect with our students, their families, and our community. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming welcome events.

I recognize that the excitement of beginning a new school year is also filled with anxiety regarding uncertain health conditions.  We are committed to sharing the most up to date information with you and following all layered prevention strategies to maintain a safe learning environment for all.

Lunch Updates:

  • All students will be offered no cost breakfast and lunch for the entire school year. Menus will be available online beginning August 18.
  • Students will be required to wear masks in the cafeteria when not actively eating and drinking.
  • They will need to wear their masks while going through the serving line.
  • Students will put their mask back on when they finish their meal.
  • Cafeteria spaces will be regularly and thoroughly cleaned with a sanitizing solution.

Please review the FCPS website Return to School FAQs for the most up to date health and safety information.

I welcome your questions, suggestions and feedback.  Please feel free to reach out to me.

Sincerely,

Amy T. Goodloe, Ed.D.
