Bonnie Brae Welcome Back!

Happy Friday Bonnie Brae parents and families!

We are just one week away from our exciting return to 5 days per week for the 21-22 school year!

We are excited to meet our students and families during our first ever Welcome Walk next Thursday, 8/19 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Your teacher will stop by for a three minute doorstep introduction and conversation. 😊 Teachers will also provide you with a link for our Virtual Back to School Night that evening which begins at 6:00pm. Our BBES Supply Drop Off will be on Friday 8/20  during the following scheduled times for each grade level.

After you drop off supplies, please stop by and visit with our PTO in front of the school and share in the Koana Ice Truck that the PTO has graciously provided.

On the first day of school parents (wearing masks) will be permitted to walk their children to the classroom door, if they prefer. Walkers should plan to arrive no earlier than 8:15am. Please remember that we will not have staff on duty until 8:15am and students should not be left unattended without supervision. Our Kiss and Ride line begins at 8:15am and at 3:30pm for afternoon pick up.

Our office hours of operation are 8:00am-4:00pm, and our instructional hours are 8:30am-3:15pm and you can always reach us at 703-321-3900.

Thank you for the nice welcome that so many of you have extended! Please reach out if we can help in anyway. Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you next Thursday for a Welcome Walk!

Sincerely,

Kiss and Ride

As we welcome students back to Bonnie Brae ES, we want to ensure the safe arrival and departure of each child. Bonnie Brae ES has an established area called the Kiss & Ride, which is designed as a safe place for adults in private vehicles to load and unload children. With the cooperation of all drivers the Kiss and Ride is able to provide an efficient and safe transfer of children.

If you are interested in using Kiss and Ride to drop off or pick up your child, please complete the embedded form. Kiss and Ride tags will be sent home in advance of students returning.
