Welcome Back to School!
Our first day of school is right around the corner, Monday, August 23rd. Our doors will open at 9:00 a.m. We start our day at 9:15 a.m. We will not be able to allow parents to walk students to their classrooms on the first day of school. We hope to be able to have parents join students for lunch at a later date. More information to come. All students will be given a bagged breakfast as they enter the school building and hot lunches will be provided free this year. Students are welcomed to pack a bagged lunch as well. If you are a bus rider, transportation will notify you directly of bus stops and times the week of August 16th. We are so excited to have all our students back to school in-person!
Schoology -New Learning Management System!
We are excited to share that students, families, and teachers throughout FCPS will use Schoology (pronounced /SKOO-luh-jee/) as our learning management system beginning this school year.
- Schoology has a connected web conferencing tool, Zoom
- Schoology works with Google Drive
- You need a SIS/ParentVUE account to login to Schoology

- Parent accounts will be available in mid-August
- Students will have a Schoology account by August 18, 2021
Students use their FCPS student ID and password to login to Schoology. Look for the FCPS logo to make sure you are on the correct login page. Students will receive their laptops during the first week of school and will be instructed on how to log into Schoology.
Masks

Current guidance from FCPS states that everyone must wear a mask in the building when students are present in the building, regardless of vaccination status. This includes children, staff, parents, caregivers, and visitors. Students will not be required to wear masks during recess, PE, and while eating during lunch time.
Masks are required on all FCPS busses.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this specific mask guidance.

PTA Popsicles on the Playground

Kindergarten, first grade and second grade students, join classmates and meet your new teachers for Popsicles on the Rose Hill Playground! It will be an opportunity to meet new families, and for our students to see each other after a long time apart for some.
Masks are recommended, not required. PTA will be providing the popsicles...thanks PTA!

Back to School Night
Back to School Night will be virtual and synchronous this year, in alignment with all of the schools in the Edison Pyramid. There will be two sessions for your convenience.
Date: Monday, August 30, 2021
Where: Back to School Night will be accessed in Zoom through your child’s Schoology account. Detailed instructions will be sent closer to the date.
Time: Session 1: 6:30 pm - 7:10 pm
Session 2: 7:15 pm - 7:45 pm
