Dear Poplar Tree Families,
We are so excited to be back together again in just a few short weeks. Our theme for the 2021-22 school year is “We all belong here!”. Our hope is that every student, every family member, and every staff member feel welcome when they walk through our doors. I’m sure there have been times when that has not been the case, and we are committed to working hard until every member of our community feels that sense of belonging. We all have a story and when we truly listen with an open heart and mind to people’s stories, we take that first step towards understanding each other.
We invite you to talk as a family about what it means to belong. We would love to hear about what belonging means to you! Students and families are invited to share their stories related to this topic on FlipGrid HERE! Videos recorded may be shared with our staff and students throughout the school year. 🗺️Self-guided Tours🗺️
New to Poplar Tree, never been in the building, or haven’t been in the building in a long time? You are invited to come to Poplar Tree on either of the dates below during the designated times. Ms. Andujar, Principal and Mrs. Larsen, Assistant Principal, will be available to answer any questions during these times.
Thursday, August 12 anytime between 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
or
Friday, August 13 anytime between 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
**The 2021-22 PTA Board will be there on Thursday, August 12 and they look forward to meeting you! You will have the opportunity to join the PTA and order fun back to school spirit wear!**

On Wednesday, August 11th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Ms. Andujar and Mrs. Larsen will be available virtually to provide information regarding health protocols, etc. as we return to school in person.

📢Homeroom Teacher Assignments📢
On Tuesday, August 17 between 3:30 - 4:00 p.m., please check your email. Your child’s teacher will be sending you an email introducing themselves.
☀️Welcome Walk☀️
On Thursday, August 19 between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., your child’s homeroom teacher and another PTES staff member will be stopping at your home to meet you and your child and welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year!

✏️Open House✏️
Poplar Tree’s Open House will be Friday, August 20 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.. At Open House you can drop off your school supplies, visit the classroom, join the PTA, drop off any medication that needs to be kept in the clinic.
🏫Back to School Night🏫
Our Back to School Night will be virtual this year on Wednesday, September 22nd from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Links and additional details will be provided in early September.
