We are looking forward to meeting all of our new families tomorrow, Tuesday, August 3, at our New Family Ice Cream Social. Meet us on the upper field behind the school from 6-7pm. Please bring a chair, if you'd like to sit and relax. We hope to see all of our newest Roadrunners there!
Meet our Newest Roadrunner
 Joseph “Will” Berenato, Sixth Grade Teacher
I was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland and went to college at Towson University, where I received a degree in Elementary Education. I come from an extremely close and loud family that I love very much. I love baseball, music, and all things related to cooking. I am excited to begin my first-year teaching at Little Run Elementary School and am looking forward to a great school year.
FCPS Returns to 5 Days in the Fall
We are excited to welcome back students for five full days starting August 23rd!
FCPS shared information earlier this week that all staff and students will wear masks while indoors and on school buses. Masks will not be required when eating or when outside during recess, PE, or other activities. If you would like additional information on our safety measures, please check here.
Little Run’s Bell Schedule for 2021-22
K-6: 8:30 – 3:15
PAC: 8:45 – 3:30
AM Preschool: 8:45 – 12:05
PM Preschool: 12:10 – 3:30
*Kiss and Ride, for our K-6 students, begins at 8:15 a.m.
Class Placements
All Little Run parents will receive an email by August 17th with your child’s teacher’s name for the upcoming school year.
If you don’t receive an email with this information by 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 17th, please contact the school office at (703) 503-3500.

Bus Schedules
After August 9th, parents can check ParentVue to access bus numbers and bus routes for any eligible riders.
BBCU & Google Classrooms are Out – Schoology is IN!
FCPS will begin using Schoology as an online platform for many student assignments. It has many similar features to Google Classroom, and students should be able to navigate it easily to find and submit assignments after their teachers show them how to use it in school. We will also share a parent tutorial once we are closer to the start of the school year.
We anticipate continuing to use FCPS laptops in school for many assignments, especially in the upper grades. However, being back to in-person school allows for the many important paper-and-pencil activities that support learning as well.
When it’s necessary to hold virtual meetings with parents or students, we will not use BBCU. FCPS now uses Zoom and, in some cases, Google Meet.
