From Assistant Principal Younger:
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as Clermont Elementary School's new Assistant Principal. I am honored to have the opportunity to become a part of the Clermont community and I am ready to help lead such an amazing school. My passion is working with children and I’m excited to begin an awesome year with the Clermont Eagles.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty years. During my tenure I’ve had the pleasure of working in schools in both Henrico County and Fairfax County. I am excited to unite my school-based experience and my openness to learn in order to best support our school and community. For the past several years I have been a classroom teacher at Franconia Elementary School and have worked across a multitude of grade levels. I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Clermont ES this year.
On a personal note, my husband Oris and I are the proud parents of Bryson, who is a rising eighth-grader at Twain Middle school. He is our pride and joy and makes me smile every day. I am originally from a small town, Martinsville, VA. I received both my Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Services and my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. I received my Certificate of Studies in Administration and Supervision from Longwood University. I enjoy spending time with family, reading a good book, traveling, and staying active.
I am thrilled about this school year and look forward to partnering with Principal Salata to ensure that the students and staff at Clermont have a school year filled with quality instruction and fun.
