Open House

 

What: Open House- a time to tour the building, see your classroom, bring your school supplies, meet the teachers and help everyone prepare for a fabulous first day of school. 

When: Thursday, August 19 

  • Kindergarten: 11:00-11:45am 
  • 1st and 2nd grade: 12:00-12:45pm 
  • 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade: 1:00-1:45pm 

We will also have Back To School Nights for parents to learn information about the grade level/class expectations and curriculum. Please watch for those details coming soon!

Returning to School

Important Information about the 2021-2022 School Year 

FCPS and Floris are excited to welcome students and staff back in-person 5 days a week for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • FCPS shared information earlier this week that all staff and students will wear masks at all times indoors and on school buses in the fall. Masks will not be required when eating or when outside during recess, PE, or other activities. Universal masking is a critical safety mitigation factor in ensuring all students can return to our buildings, especially when social distancing is not possible and not all our students are eligible for vaccinations.
  • Floris Bell Schedule: 9:15am-4:00pm Monday-Friday 

  • Breakfast and lunch are available each day and the menu will be available at FCPS Nutrislice- Floris

FCPS Transportation Ridership Survey 

FCPS Office of Transportation Services sent out a survey to all parents on July 29 about bus ridership. You are asked to submit a separate survey for each of your children enrolled in FCPS. Bus routes will be created using the survey results. If the survey is not completed and returned by August 4, 2021, your child will not be added to a bus route at the beginning of the school year. Please submit your response today, one for each child in your household enrolled in FCPS. Your immediate attention to this matter is appreciated.
