Engagement and Office Updates

FY 2022 Audit Plan

The Fairfax County School Board approved OAG's FY22 plan at the School Board Meeting on July 15.  The Audit Plan is the end result of OAG's annual risk assessment which is performed to identify, prioritize, and determine the OAG's annual operational plan.

In addition to two carryover audits from the FY21 plan, Business Continuity Plan and FY21 Local School Activity Funds (LSAF), the audit plan includes four new audits:

  • Community Use
  • Employee Evaluation Process
  • IT Technology Platform Implementation and Hardware Acquisition & Management
  • Local School Activity Funds for Year ending June 30, 2022

The plan also includes the second year of Comprehensive Program Review of FCPS’ Special Education Services, a non-audit service being performed by American Institutes for Research.  OAG serves as the project liaison for this engagement.

Additionally, OAG performs Continuous Monitoring and other duties, as outlined in the plan.

For more information on the approved engagements and other duties, please refer to the FY 2022 Risk Assessment and Audit Plan.
