Kings Park Space Walk Scavenger Hunt
We are exited to welcome our Kings Park Lions and families back into the building with our Space Walk Scavenger hunt. Students and families are invited to come explore Kings Park during the dates and time frames below. As a reminder, all students and families who attend will be required to wear a face covering while in the building. We look forward to seeing you soon!
August 6th: 9:00am-10:30am
August 11th: 3:30pm- 5:00pm
If you plan on attending, please RSVP using the following form. Families can anticipate 30 minutes for this experience.

Welcome Walk
Kings Park staff will be offering a Welcome Walk for all families this year. The Welcome Walk is an informal time for you to meet your child's teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Your child's teacher and a KPES staff buddy will come to your home for a brief 3-5 minute doorstep visit. This year's welcome walk will be held on Monday, August 16th between 4pm-7pm. To participate you will need to be home during this time frame and wear a mask. If you are not going to be home at this date/time frame OR would prefer to meet the teacher virtually, please indicate that in the survey. Each teacher will contact families that elect to schedule a virtual meeting and/or do not complete the survey by the deadline, to schedule a virtual meet and greet. One way or another, we look forward to "seeing" you soon!
By August 10, 2021 at 1pm, please complete the following survey to indicate your preference To support the management and preplanning necessary for this event, please note that if no survey is submitted for a student, the virtual option will be assumed and scheduled.
Kings Park Dining Room Assistant
Kings Park is currently looking for our next Dining Room Assistant for the 2021-2022 school year to supervise and support students in the cafeteria during lunch. This would be a part time position from each day. We are looking for an energetic and friendly person who loves working with children. Our dining room assistant supports students five days per week from 10:45am - 1:45pm. If you or someone you know might be interested in the position please contact tlpower@fcps.edu.

FCPS Meal Kit Buses - June 28 through August 5
Ten (10) buses will run weekly routes throughout the community distributing meal kits, containing seven (7) days of breakfast and lunch items packed in bulk.
These bus routes are weekly stops Monday - Thursday only. Please note that Monday bus routes will operate on Friday, July 2 to cover the Monday, July 5 holiday.
All meals are available at no-cost to FCPS students and children eighteen (18) years of age and under. Parents/caregivers may pick up for children. Adult meals will not be available for purchase. Please click on the following link to review the weekly schedule:

FOOD PANTRY PROGRAM
The Foundry Church

The Foundry Church (formerly Calvary) has a Food Pantry Program with donations from Target and Giant. This 7-year program allows families/friends to come to the church and pick up bags of food on Thursday mornings from 8:00 am – 9:30 am during the entire year and SUMMER. There is no application, nor any criteria needed.
