Terra Centre Updates 6-11-21

Terra Centre Families,

Today marks the end of a most unusual and unprecedented year at Terra Centre.  We have been riding the wave with great success.  Thanks to all the families and students who have helped us move through the ocean of changes this year.

Our students have shown remarkable adaptability as they studied and learned in different environments at school and at home.  Parents have demonstrated extreme flexibility, while providing the support we needed during our year of the pandemic. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all for your perseverance and encouragement.

Best wishes for a restful and relaxing summer of renewal!

The Capital Police Officers were back at Terra Centre today for dismissal!  The officers came for a special pickup to escort Logan and Abigail Evans home on their last day of school!

Thank You!

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank Bunny Lancaster for serving as our interim assistant principal!  She jumped in right as we were bringing students back in the building.  She has gotten us here to the end of the school year and will soon be moving on to new adventures supporting other schools in need!

Congratulations to our 6th Graders!

After the 6th Grade Virtual Ceremony, our 6th graders had a drive-through celebration!  Thank you to Amanda Hersey, Kristy Weinshel, Stephanie Moore, Lonna Seibert, the 6th Grade Parent Committee, the PTA, 6th grade teachers, specialists, and parent volunteers for all their hard work to make this special for our students!

2020-2021 Virtual TCES Art Show

We'd like to invite you to the 2020-2021 Virtual Terra Centre Art Show!

Our Terra Centre Tigers have selected one piece of artwork from this school year and created a Flipgrid video (kindergarten and 1st graders) or a page in a Book Creator book (grades 2-6) to share a creative project they are proud of having created.

We hope you’ll enjoy seeing the variety of ways they choose to express themselves, the skills and techniques they were practicing and most of all their smiling faces as they held their artwork up for the camera.  Creating art and having an avenue for self-expression has served many as a therapeutic, meditative, joyful or just plain fun way to spend some quarantine hours!

We worked as a community of artists to create this book, and we hope you enjoy it!  Below are some examples.  Please click on the link above to see all student art work!

Here are a few snapshots from Terra Centre’s awesome Virtual Art Show, 2021.

  • Kudos to the students for their fabulous creations!
  • Exceptional thanks to Ms.Bauersfeld for her tireless work in creating the show digitally!

Transported After School Program

Our After School Program (AMP) is the perfect alternative to SACC/Daycare.  Your child will get a daily Taekwondo class, snack and quiet/homework time.  So a child should have gotten a good workout and their homework done when you pick up so you can enjoy the rest of your evening together.
