Welcome Mr. Credle as Assistant Principal!

Dear McNair Upper Elementary Families,

My name is Cliff Credle and I am excited to be joining your school and community as your new Assistant Principal for the next school year.  I am coming to you from Oak Hill ES, where I have been the AP the last 5 years.  Prior to that I was the AP at Greenbriar West ES.  Before going into administration, I was a classroom teacher for ten years. 

I am originally from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and come from family of educators.  I have lived in Northern Virginia for the last 26 years.  Away from school, I love to spend time with my family, be outdoors, travel, and watch sports.  Go Steelers!  My family, including two dogs, keeps me very busy.  My wife Stacey and I have 11-year-old twins, Anabella and Daniel.  The two of them are just finishing their sixth-grade year in Prince William County.

I look forward to working collaboratively with Mrs. Goddin, the staff, and you to make a positive impact at McNair!  In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me at cmcredle@fcps.edu.  Have a great summer!

Summer Math Challenge-Opens June 21

This is a free six-week online math skills maintenance program designed for students who have just completed grades 1-8. The 2021 Challenge will support student learning at home and offers daily emails with fun activities and links to educational resources at each student’s ability level. Parents can monitor their child's progress and generate weekly badges and a certificate to celebrate accomplishments. Sign up for the Summer Math Challenge at the Lexile and Quantile Hub.

Friendly Reminder: End of the Year Student Laptop Collection Information

It is time to start planning for our end-of-year student laptop collection. All FCPS student laptops and any laptop accessories (chargers, mice, MiFis, and carrying cases) must be returned at the end of the school year. Specific dates, times, and locations for technology drop-off are listed below:

  • Monday June 14th: Virtual students can continue turning in their borrowed technology from 10:30-4:00pm in front of McNair Upper (doors 1 & 2). 
  • If you are unable to attend any of our technology drop-off days please contact our School Based Technology Specialist, Mr. Matthews (wpmatthews@fcps.edu), to make alternative arrangements.
  • If your laptop or charger is lost, please contact the office and we will send payment instructions. Laptop costs approximately $479 and charger costs approximately $25, depending on the model you were issued. Any device not returned by Monday, June 14 will be considered lost and bills will be issued after that date.

If you cannot access the online Summer Reading Challenge materials, you are welcome to stop by the McNair Upper ES main office between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. to pick a hard copy of it up.
