Assistant Principal Announcement
Good Afternoon Major Families,
I am excited to report that Julie Kubiak, our special education assistant principal has been given the opportunity to go back to her elementary roots as the assistant principal at Stratford Landing Elementary School, effective July 14, 2021. Mrs. Kubiak has been an amazing member of our MVHS community and has positively impacted so many students and staff members. Her love for students is evidenced in her daily interactions and advocacy and we will certainly miss her bubbly personality. While this is farewell, it is not goodbye because “Once a Major, Always a Major.” Mrs. Kubiak will be close by, and we will stay in contact with her to hear all about her new endeavors. Please join me in sending warm wishes as Mrs. Kubiak transitions into her new role.
We are also pleased to announce that Ms. Adrian Williams will join the MVHS family as the new acting special education assistant principal, effective 7/14/21. Ms. Williams brings a wealth of knowledge with more than 20 years of educational experience. She is the currently the assistant principal at Quander Road School and is known as a creative thinker, collaborator and advocate who produces results.
Ms. Williams was named the 2015 Outstanding High School Counselor in FCPS after she achieved the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) status for her school. As a result of her leadership, advocacy and collaborative nature, she was nominated as a 2021 Outstanding Leader in FCPS.
