Congratulations Dolphins!
Dear Lake Anne Family,
We are so proud of our dolphins’ growth, successes, and achievement in such an unprecedented year. Our students made a SPLASH through all of the changes and showed resilience, grit, and tenacity so many ways. Through virtual learning, and eventually concurrent learning, our “homies” and “roomies” made friends, laughed a lot, and even had class jokes. They worked and played cooperatively, learned content, and improved in many academic skills. Our dolphins were active on the screen and off the screen while they completed fun challenges in P.E. They showed their musical and artistic talents as well as their gifts of kindness and care for their classmates and teachers. Because of our dolphins, the future looks bright!
Congratulations to all of our dolphins!
Best wishes for future success to our Lake Anne Elementary Class of 2021! We know you’ll do great things in middle school!
On behalf of Mr. Shin and our Lake Anne Elementary staff, I thank you for all of your support and for being wonderful partners with us in your child’s education. Together, we made a SPLASH!
Happy summer!
~Mrs. Stewart

Rising Hughes 7th Graders
Every 2 weeks, all summer long, our school library will release a set of high-interest book recommendations. We’ll include links and easy instructions for them to check out copies from the school or public libraries. Have your students visit our LHMS Library website for all the information! (Tip: be logged in to @fcpsschools.net Google account to access the site.)
Want to help? If you’d like to donate a print book from our summer reading selections to an LHMS student, consider purchasing from our Wish List ASAP. Donated copies will be provided to students in need and/or given as prizes for participation in summer reading. Thank you! Questions? Contact Nora Weiss, LHMS Librarian
