Comcast Donation!!
In support of the perseverance of our 8th Graders this year, Comcast has graciously donated 20 Chromebooks, 600 bags, and 600 laptop stickers to the Twain PTA as part of the 8th Grade Red Carpet Event, to help them prepare to enter high school.
The Twain PTA Board has donated these computers to the school to distribute among the 8th grade students most in need of sunshine and to help make their transition to high school less stressful next year. THANK YOU, Comcast and Antonio Williams, External Affairs, Comcast.

All Students to Be Virtual on June 8 Due to Democratic Primary Election
Tuesday, June 8, is the Democratic Primary Election. Because the Fairfax County Electoral Board and City of Fairfax Electoral Board will be using 165 school facilities as polling locations, June 8 will be a virtual synchronous learning day (no in-person classes) for students.
June 11
Friday, June 11 is the last day of school for students. All schools will close 2 hours early. Twain’s students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm.
Laptop Collection Information
We will be collecting all FCPS laptops at the end of the school year.
Preparing laptops to turn in:
- Please use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe off any dirt/debris from the laptop. Do not use anything wet to clean the laptop.
- If you added stickers, please remove them.
- KEEP the black laptop case. These will not be collected. Use this during the next school year.
Collection Times
We will be collecting in-person student laptops on Friday June 11th during the last period of the day. All students identified as participating in Twain’s Summer Learning Programs will keep their laptop until they complete their summer learning activities.
Virtual students should bring the laptop and charger to Twain at one of these times:
Early Laptop Drop Off
Any in-person students NOT attending school on June 11th should turn in their laptop on their last day of school. The student should ask one of their teachers how to turn in their laptop.
Virtual students - Do you have a personal laptop at home that you are using for classes? Will you not be attending classes the last day or days of school? You can drop off your FCPS laptop early. Bring the laptop and charger to the main office at Twain between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on June 7th or June 8th.
Lost Laptops or Chargers
Students will not be issued a computer next school year if they do not hand in their current laptop. Students must turn in their laptop and charger. Replacement fees can be paid through the Twain Middle School store on https://www.myschoolbucks.com
- Charger replacement cost is $23
- Laptop replacement cost is $472
