Dear Families,
We are in the final few weeks of school. There is a lot of new information regarding the end of year procedures. Please see below for computer drop off information. Students who are in-person will take care of this with their classroom teachers. Also please note there are flyers attached for Jumpstart for our rising 7th graders. This is a great opportunity for students to get comfortable with Herndon Middle School, prior to attending.

We continue to evaluate our processes and the guidance around 6th grade promotion. We are very proud of our rising 7th graders and once we have clarity will send specific details about how promotion will be handled. Please be on the lookout for this information later this week.
This has been a whirlwind of a year and we thank you for your continued support.
With great appreciation,

Congratulations and a huge thank you to the 2021-2022 Clearview PTA Executive Board nominees!!
President – Alecia Nault
I am so happy to be Clearview’s PTA President for next year! The 2021-22 school year has been on my heart for a while, as it is the only year I will have all three kids in the same school building (K, 3rd, and 6th). We are so thankful to be a part of Clearview, and I am excited for the future possibilities!
Brian Kelley - President – Elect
Brian Kelley is the father to a current first grader and an 18-month-old future Yellow Jacket. He is active in both his neighborhood and the town of Herndon. He is committed to engaging and supporting the Clearview community, our students, our teachers, and the greater public school system. When he is not spending time with his family, Brian is an executive at Sage Communications, providing communications support to the federal government, local school systems and global technology organizations.
Arpita Patel – VP of Fundraising
Hello there! I am Arpita Patel and I am excited to run for a third term as Clearview PTA’s Vice President of Fundraising. In the 2021-2022 school year, all three of my children will be attending Clearview. I have become very passionate about raising funds for our PTA so we can continue to provide support and resources for our students, teachers, and staff. I hope our paths cross in the upcoming school year!
Sarah Stein – VP Programs
Sarah is the current Secretary of the Clearview PTA and has served as the VP of Fundraising and the President in previous years. She is also the current Fairfax County Council PTA representative for the Herndon Pyramid. Driven by her desire to share knowledge and support, she takes pride in helping other PTA leaders, volunteers, students, and staff members strive to be the best they can be.
Christine Graham – Secretary
Christine is a parent of a current first grader and a rising kindergartner. A former teacher in a Title 1 school who studied education policy in graduate school, Christine has a long-standing passion for supporting our public schools. She currently works as a communications director for global consulting firm ICF.
Karen Hunter – Treasurer
This will be my second year serving as PTA Treasurer. My husband and I have three boys – two are at Clearview in Second grade and Kindergarten, and one is in preschool. When my oldest started preschool, I began working from home as an accountant for a small business. This has offered me a lot of flexibility in my schedule to be involved in our kid’s schools, which is so important to me. I grew up in Herndon and love the community. Supporting our kids takes a village, and we have a very special one here!
Virtual ballots for this years election will be sent to current PTA members on Friday, May 14, 2021. Official election results will be announced at our last PTA meeting of the year on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. As current President-Elect, Alecia will automatically assume the position of President for 2021-2022.
You may still nominate yourself. Self-nominations must be received no later than Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 5 PM and should be e-mailed directly to Todd Waldrop (toddwaldrop78@gmail.com)
