Leaving the Lake
As we do every year, members of the Lake Anne family will be “leaving the Lake” due to relocation, retirement, or other opportunities. We are grateful for all they did to make Lake Anne Elementary a great place to learn and a great place to work. Please join me in wishing them well in the future.

Langston Hughes Summer Reading
Rising Hughes 7th Graders
Every 2 weeks, all summer long, our school library will release a set of high-interest book recommendations. We’ll include links and easy instructions for them to check out copies from the school or public libraries. Have your students visit our LHMS Library website for all the information! (Tip: be logged in to @fcpsschools.net Google account to access the site.)
Want to help? If you’d like to donate a print book from our summer reading selections to an LHMS student, consider purchasing from our Wish List ASAP. Donated copies will be provided to students in need and/or given as prizes for participation in summer reading. Thank you! Questions? Contact Nora Weiss, LHMS Librarian
