  General Information
School-Issued Laptop Return
All students need to return their school-issued laptops this year to receive some important updates. We need all computers, cords, and bags to be returned, regardless of the condition. Before returning your computer and bag, please make sure you have all personal items like USBs removed before returning and nothing remaining in the bag. Students should see grade level google classrooms for more information on backing up your files and dates and times for return. We have several opportunities in the coming weeks for students who do not use their FCPSOn device for classes. We will also have opportunities on the last day for seniors and the last day for underclassmen.
Returning OHS Library Materials
Returning OHS Library books is easier than ever! If you have books from this year or previous years (or even from other schools), you can return them to a variety of locations inside AND outside of the building. Students attending school in-person can stop by the library and use the drop slot inside the library or the book return drop in the wall to the left of the library entrance. Anyone can return books at any time on any day of the week using the OHS Library Book Return outside of the school, just to the left of the main entrance. Simply lift the lid and place your books inside! All books checked out from the OHS Library are due back by May 28. Thank you for your help returning your library books!
Face Mask Requirement
School policy regarding masks remains unchanged. For the remainder of the FY 2020-2021 school year, FCPS will be requiring students and staff to continue to wear masks and socially distance both indoors and outdoors on school grounds including for recess.

School of Excellence Survey
As many of you will remember, the Oakton PTSA is applying for the National PTA School of Excellence Award. The School of Excellence Award recognizes schools that have opened the lines of communication and critical thinking within the school community to make data-driven decisions that yield positive, long-term results.
As part of the School of Excellence designation process, the National PTA provided an opportunity for our Oakton community - families, teachers and administrators - to contribute to a bi-annual feedback survey over the course of a calendar school year. This feedback survey provided parents, teacher and school staff an chance to celebrate the successes of the school year and to offer suggestions on how to improve the overall school experience.
Our first survey was administered in October 2020 and produced a tremendous response. Now, as we approach the last few days of school - we need your feedback once again to close out the School of Excellence application process. Please take a moment to complete the short (and completely anonymous) survey below by Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Click here to begin the survey - https://forms.gle/1QsRZcvacysBHWm98
Thank you in advance for your participation to help our wonderful school move one more step closer to possibly achieving the National PTA’s School of Excellence recognition award.
Sincerely,
Monique Roberts-Rabil OHS PTSA President
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration as we work toward becoming a National PTA School of Excellence!
