YOUR Stratford Landing PTA needs you!
The Stratford Landing PTA has formed its nomination committee to identify next year’s PTA Board. Elections will be held on June 9, 2021 at the final PTA meetings of the year. The nominating committee consists of Dave Hodgkinson (dbhodgkinson@gmail.com), Nicole Chandler (volunteers@sltpa.com), and Jen Cavaliere (jmbcavaliere@gmail.com). Please contact Dave, Nicole, or Jen if you are interested in serving on next year’s Board. This is an exciting opportunity for parents! Joining the PTA Board is a great opportunity to give back to the community, promote the well being of SLES, have some fun, meet fellow parents and the SLES teachers/administration, and have your child/student appreciate and learn from your leadership and volunteerism. The following positions are available:
President-Elect - (president@slpta.org)
Treasurer - (treasurer@slpta.org)
Vice President of Fundraising - (fundraising@slpta.org)
Vice President of Community Events - (community@slpta.org)
Vice President of Communications - (communications@slpta.org)
If you are interested or have someone to nominate, please reach out to any member of the nominating committee. You may also reach out directly to the Board member currently holding this position using the email address listed above.
Thank you for considering taking on one of these important roles.
If you don’t — who will?
Why wait?

SLES Family Needs Our Help to Cover Cancer Treatment Expenses
Dolphin pod! One of our very own SLES Dolphin families needs our help. This little future Dolphin, nicknamed Beautiful, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in July 2020 and has been bravely battling it ever since. A short time ago, changes were made to the family’s insurance so that now Beautiful's three-year treatment plan will not be covered. Mom can’t get a job right now because she’s the primary caregiver of her daughter. Not only that, this sweet girl is immune compromised so her siblings, who are SLES students now, must stay 100% virtual. We are omitting names to protect the family's privacy.
When one dolphin family needs help, we must come together to do what we can because we are stronger together! This family needs our help covering medical expenses.
*****Update: Thank you to all who have contributed, shared, and supported this dolphin family. We have raised almost $13.5K to help her family pay for chemo treatments for Beautiful!
Please continue to share as you can with your networks.
Every time the link is shared, we see another bump in giving!
