All FCPS technology devices will be collected prior to the end of the school year for inventory and repair over the summer in preparation for the 2021-22 school year. This includes all laptops & power adapters, laptop sleeves/mice (if applicable) and MiFi devices. Collection will take place at school for in-person students on June 9, 10 & 11 during the school day. Please make sure your student has their device, power adapter, mouse/laptop sleeve and MiFi (if applicable) at school on those days to turn in. Devices will be scanned in to our system and you will receive a return receipt in your child’s FCPS Gmail. If your son or daughter is participating in a Summer Program or ESY at Powell, you are welcome to keep the laptop until that program is over.
We will have four dates and times for collecting FCPS devices from those students who are learning virtually (see below). Unlike the process in the fall, this will be a drive up and drop off process outside of Door 7 (door near library). There will be no need to park and get out of the car. We will collect your devices curbside. Please make sure you bring all devices and the power adapters as well as laptop sleeves/mice and MiFis (if applicable). Please make sure the adapters are wrapped up tight and that all stickers are removed from the laptops. Also, please wipe down the keyboard and screen with a Clorox wipe before returning it.
Whether in-person or virtual please help us by noting any known issues/damage to the device by making a note of it on a Post-It and leaving it inside the device. This will help us more quickly address issues as we work to prepare devices for next school year. Thank you!

Monday, June 14: Grades K-3 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Tuesday, June 15: Grade 4-6 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Wednesday, June 16: For those that could not drop off during grade level time 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Thursday, June 17: For those that could not drop off during grade level time 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
