Hunters Woods ES NEWS & NOTES | May 27, 2021
Fairfax County Public Schools sent this bulletin at 05/27/2021 04:38 PM EDT
All library books that have been checked out by students need to be returned by Friday, May 28th. This includes any library books that were checked out last school year (2019-2020) and also this year (2020-2021). For your convenience, we have placed a library cart under the canopy at Door #1 where you may turn in your books. Thank you very much for your help in returning these books by the deadline.
Meal Kits may be picked up at HWES between 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (outside Door #2 in the bus loop) in front of the school. As we prepare for the end of the school year, additional distribution days have been added to the schedule. Meal Distribution Schedule:
For the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, FCPS will be requiring students and staff to continue to wear masks and socially distance during instructional time inside school buildings. Students will be required to wear masks at recess but will not be required to be socially distanced. FCPS will maintain CDC requirements of 3 feet social distance in classrooms and 6 feet social distancing in our cafeterias through June 15. Both these requirements are aligned with the Fairfax County Health Department guidance and helps maintain consistency as we finish out the year. As per national, state and local guidance, there are unique and specific mask and social distancing requirements for graduation, athletics, school performances, and other school-specific events held indoors and outdoors. FCPS will be transitioning to updated guidelines for these specific events starting May 28. For specific information regarding these requirements, please visit this webpage.
