8th Grade Red Carpet Event – June 4
Save the date for Twain’s 8th grade students to walk the “red carpet” into high school on Friday, June 4 from 6 to 8:30 pm. This event is free! Attire can be fancy but is not required. Photos will be captured and our rising 9th grade students will each receive a gift bag with helpful goodies as they transition to high school. This event will be COVID compliant and fun for our Twain 8th graders. The PTA is also looking for volunteers to assist. See the PTA Updates below for additional information. We hope all 8th grade students can attend!
SOL Score Report Day
On Monday, June 7, the parents/guardians of all students who have taken SOLs this year will be emailed their child's SOL scores.
Twain MS Yearbook Update
Now's your chance. We can't guarantee your student will get a yearbook unless you order now. The Twain MS Yearbook staff is working hard to make sure as many students as possible appear in the book at least one time in addition to their portraits. Buy the book your student will always cherish. They'll thank you later. Click HERE to order your yearbook.

Library News
As mandated by FCPS Library Services all Twain MS Library print books and playaways are due May 28th.
Students can access eBooks and Audio books using MackinVia. MackinVia will be available until June 30th.
PTA Updates
8th Grade Red Carpet Event
This year due to COVID restrictions our 8th Graders are not able to have their traditional Dance to celebrate the end of the year. A "Red Carpet Event" will be held so that they can come to the school for 30 minutes, take photos, win a raffle, see some friends, and walk a Red Carpet-- like the Stars They Are!!
As this has been a challenging year for the students, this event is FREE for the 8th graders as it's all about having fun! Students may come dressed as they choose, from fancy to casual. Photos will be taken during the event and each 8th grader will come home with a “High School Survival” swag bag. Random bags will have Golden Tickets in them with gift cards.
There are 550 - 8th graders. We are still in need of Volunteers to help us get the Event going on June 4th! There are many options to help from donating your time or donating money for the raffle gift cards or Golden Ticket Surprise Gift cards in the swag bags.
