Sully District SB Member, Stella Pekarsky, Visits Stone

We had such a great visit with Sully District SB Member, Stella Pekarsky this week. She and her staff aide, Shaheen Khurana, were able to see so many classes, talk to several students and staff members and get a glimpse into what makes Stone so wonderful!

SOL Testing

SOL Testing Update

We are closing out two weeks of successful SOL testing for all students who participated.  Next week, we will welcome our Virtual 8th graders to test for Science 8 on Monday, May 24th and in-person students will test on Tuesday, May 25th and 27th.  SOL make-ups will be held this week and next week for multiple tests that may have been missed.

Teachers will be sharing SOL scores with individual students in the upcoming weeks. In addition, official score reports will be mailed home with the student’s final report card. SOL scores are being loaded into SIS centrally each week, and will be visible in StudentVue and ParentVue. You must login to SIS from a desktop computer and choose Testing History

If you have any testing questions, please email Armando Garcia at AGarcia1@fcps.edu

Algebra 1 SOL Information

A score of 400 is considered passing for the Algebra 1 SOL; however, this year only, the Virginia Board of Education is offering flexibility, which allows students to earn a locally awarded verified credit with a SOL score of 350-399. Locally awarded verified credits provided under current emergency guidelines fulfill graduation requirements just the same as if the verified credit was based on a passing SOL score.

If you have questions, or would like your student to retake the SOL test this spring, please review this information and contact Armando Garcia at AGarcia1@fcps.edu

Westfield High School’s Outdoor Spring Musical - “The Theory of Relativity”

This year Westfield High School’s spring musical will be an outdoor performance of The Theory of Relativity FRIDAY MAY 21 & SATURDAY MAY 22 @ 8:00 P.M. Through a collection of songs, scenes, and monologues, The Theory of Relativity introduces a compelling array of characters experiencing the joys and heartbreaks, the liaisons and losses, the inevitability, and the wonder of human connection.

Our performance venue is outside at the back of Westfield High School adjacent to the tennis courts. Parking will be outside Door 11.  Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 8pm. We will also live stream the event for anyone who wants to watch at home! Visit our website for more details and to purchase tickets: https://www.westfieldtheatre.com/the-theory-of-relativity

Please use the TADA code on etix.com and TORComp on Showtix4u.com for comp tickets.

The show is rated PG by MTI and is mostly appropriate for middle schoolers though there is one song that is a tiny bit suggestive.
