Dear Justice Families,
Next Saturday night is prom night, and we will be rolling out the red carpet for our incredible seniors. Our staff is working hard to ensure that this night is a memorable and wonderful event.
As the year is coming to a close, I would like to share the plans for closing out the school year with the textbook and laptop return process. This year, all books, calculators, and laptops will need to be returned to school. All laptops must be reimaged, cleaned, and reset for next school year. If these items are not returned by the end of the year, you will be charged with the costs. Also, laptops will not be functional next year if they are not reimaged/reset over the summer. All underclassmen will have their laptops reissued before school begins in August. Please see below for detailed information.
You may begin dropping off any textbooks and library books now. The sooner you return them the sooner they can be cleared from your account.
Below please find the end-of-year calendar. Email Assistant Principal Michelle Campiglia at mrcampiglia@fcps.edu with any questions.
Have a great weekend!
We are One – We are Justice!

Jennifer Discua Hernandez Memorial Scholarship
We are so pleased to announce the addition of a new scholarship, to be awarded for the first time to a member of the Justice HS Class of 2021. Created by Justice High School staff to honor an alumna, this scholarship embodies the strength, kindness and commitment of our community.
Jennifer “Jenny” Discua Hernandez passed away from leukemia in 2020. Inspired by Jenny’s grace and indomitable spirit, Justice High School faculty and staff created a new scholarship in her memory.
Jennifer arrived at Justice High School from Honduras in the spring of 2016 speaking only Spanish. Her desire to learn English and excel academically is something Justice teachers and staff will always remember. Jenny’s tenacious spirit, eternal optimism, and love of life was unparalleled. She was a light to all of those around her and her positive outlook inspired others to not give up on their dreams regardless of their current situation. Her cancer diagnosis never got in the way of pursuing her high school diploma and courses at Northern Virginia Community College. Her goal was to use her difficult experiences in the hospital and her bilingual skills to help others navigate similar situations. This scholarship will support an English Learner who embodies Jennifer’s spirit and who will attend Northern Virginia Community College.
We welcome the chance to help JHS teachers and staff to honor Jenny and encourage another student’s college dreams. To contribute to the scholarship in Jennifer's name: https://www.paypal.com/donate?token=BqGA6olMNp28Sx6o_94_zwjuxDH3M9hrHtTxDnsOp0uTUz4En-5FyWN-b7MhbJsp4La281WChhKuWqsX
Emergency Broadband Benefit Available for Families
The Federal Communications Commission has launched a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households. Eligible families can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. This is not an FCPS-funded program. It is a way for families to potentially access a more reliable hard-wired internet connection at a higher bandwidth than the “basic” packages provide.
Eligible households can enroll through a participating broadband provider or directly with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) using an online or mail in application.
Learn about the benefit, including eligibility and enrollment information, by visiting www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit, or by calling 833-511-0311.
