Schedule for May 17 to 21
Monday, 5/17
- 7th and 8th grade Math SOL test for virtual students
- There will be NO 8am check-in, but all students who are not testing should complete the reflection activity posted in their Learning Seminar Schoology Course
Tuesday, 5/18
- 7th and 8th grade Math SOL for in-person students (please see below for changes to the bell schedule)
- Period 1 – 7:30-10:56 (all virtual students will be ASYNCHRONOUS during this time)
- Period 5 – 11:00-1:00 (all students will return to SYNCHRONOUS instruction for the remainder of the day)
- Period 3 – 1:04-1:30
- Period 7 – 1:34-2:00
Wednesday, 5/19
- Make-up SOL testing – Regular Bell Schedule
Thursday, 5/20
- Make-up SOL testing – Regular Bell Schedule
Friday, 5/21
- Make-up SOL testing – Regular Bell Schedule
Next week is our Math SOL testing!
All virtual students who are testing and all in person students will have received an email to the @fpsschools.net account this week with testing location information.
If a student cannot find the email, don’t worry. There will be staff members ready to assist students in finding their testing location.
If virtual students need to make up one or more SOLs, they will be contacted by a Twain staff member to discuss options.
If an in-person student needs to make up one or more SOLs they will be pulled any day they attend in person to complete the missing test.
We look forward to seeing students this Monday or Tuesday for Math SOL testing.
Spring Theatre Production
The 2021 Spring Production performances in May are completely sold out – but have no fear. We are looking to offer some virtual airings of the production in June. Keep your eyes on the Twain Website and future News You Choose for more information. PTA Updates
8th Grade Red Carpet Event
This year due to COVID restrictions our 8th Graders are not able to have their traditional Dance to celebrate the end of the year. A "Red Carpet event" will be held so that they can get dressed up, come to the school for 30 minutes, walk a Red Carpet-- like the stars they are--, take photos, win a raffle, and see some friends.
We need Volunteers to help us get the Event going on June 4th! There are many options to help; from filling swag bags for the students, donating your time, or donating money for raffle gift cards.
