Attendance Matters!
Attendance drives everything! It is tied to almost every aspect of school performance and future outcomes.
What to Say to Your Children:
- Skipping school may sound fun, but it can have serious consequences, including jail time, fines, or even the loss of your driver’s license.
- If you’re having trouble getting to school – issues with transportation, bullies, etc. – tell someone, such as a guidance counselor or your parents. Many schools offer services for the whole family to help.
It’s important to communicate these and other needs to our Dean, SOSA, administrators, counselors, & clinicians.
Graduation
June 3 @ 9:00 am (Rain date-June 4 @ 9:00 am)
Fairfax HS Stadium
We are very excited to share that the Class of 2021 will be celebrated during an in-person graduation ceremony this year!
Based on updated capacity guidance, each graduating senior will now receive SIX TICKETS to the ceremony.

Please note that this is a "living document" as the date/time of some events may be adjusted (exam schedule is solid). We will post a new schedule and update you if changes are made.
Please note that Tuesday, June 8 is now a virtual synchronous exam day for students. All underclass students will access their 1st and 3rd period exams virtually.

The staff from the Office of Design and Construction provided an update on the renovation process at a community meeting on April 28, 2021.

Textbook/Materials Return
Teachers will begin collecting textbooks/materials from in-person students whenever they are finished using the resource.
Virtual students can return any books or materials at Entrance 1 (main entrance) during school hours. Security staff will be there to receive them.
Please see important due dates below.
Laptop Collection
3rd and 7th period teachers will be collecting a laptop, charger and bag from each in-person student. Virtual students should turn in their laptop, charger and bag at Door #10.

The Substance Abuse Prevention Specialists (SAPS) program is pleased to announce a SAPS quarterly newsletter for the FCPS community. Our first newsletter features information about our program, parenting tips, a student submitted article, community events, and a variety of resources.

Face Masks Are Required at All Times at All FCPS Sites, Indoors and Outdoors
Despite the recent change in guidelines from the CDC on wearing face masks outdoors, Fairfax County Public Schools is still requiring that face masks are worn by spectators at all sporting events.
Please make sure you have one with you when entering FCPS facilities. Universal masking is the best way to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all spectators.
Please Note: Face masks are not required for athletes when engaged in competition.
Jaguar 5K
This year's Jaguar 5K will be held virtually from April 24 - May 22!
