Principal's Message - 5/8/21

Good Morning Parents and Families:

Every day I am so appreciative of our faculty and staff and all they do to support our students each day. This week, we honored and celebrated our amazing Stone team. A very special thanks to our PTA, who generously provided lunch, cookies and gift cards to our staff. We are so grateful for your partnership and support. Another thanks to Mr. Anderson, our after-school specialist and our SCA for coordinating the barbeque lunch, banners, student messages and videos. Finally, thank you to our FCPS Ignite Business partner, Grace Covenant, for the wonderful Chick-Fil-A lunch.  All of these individuals helped make our 2021 Teacher Appreciation Week special. Please check out some of the highlights here: https://stonems.fcps.edu/features/teacher-appreciation-week-2021

This message contains important information as it relates to the next few weeks. Please pay particular attention to the testing details outlined below and on our website. A few important reminders:

  • There will be NO Check and Connect for students on Mondays in May, as we will have testing for our virtual students on those mornings.
    • Students DO NOT need to log in to see their Panther Block teacher at 9:00.
  • We will have a modified bell schedule the next three Tuesdays to support our SOL testing.
  • Students should continue to check Schoology for updates and reminders!

I look forward to continuing to highlight all of the many wonderful things happening each day at Stone, as well as some fun end-of-the-year events we have planned.

To our mothers, I wish you each a relaxing and peaceful Mother’s Day and thank you for your continued support of our school. Please continue to reach out if you need anything. Hope you have a great weekend!

~Meredith Norris, Principal
