Dear Bailey's Families,
We had a great week of showing our appreciation for our teachers and staff. Thank you to the PTA for showering our staff with love! They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year to support our students. We can't say thank you enough for all they do!
Our virtual and in-person students engaged in some wonderful learning experiences this week. They continued their nonfiction research, learned more about addition/subtraction and observed as our chicks hatched in the Science Lab! Students are excited each day for the learning activities our staff has planned for them.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We hope you have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day!
Satonya, Jillian and Mirna

A Message from our Counselors
The counseling team recognizes the mixed emotions some virtual students may be having right now while some students return to the building. We would like to offer virtual students a space to connect and share with their peers. The counselors will be holding Google Meet ups for virtual students on Mondays beginning this coming Monday, May 3rd at 1:00 using this Google Meet link.
Students can join at whatever time they are available between 1:00-2:00 as this screen time is totally optional and intended to be a social activity led by the school counselors. If you feel your student would benefit, please share this this Google Meet link and we will see you soon.
Ms. Wilkins: nswilkins@fcps.edu & Ms. Crummett: SLCrummett1@fcps.edu
Dear Second Grade Families,
Our School Counselors, Ms. Wilkins and Ms. Crummett, will be offering a transition session for rising third grade students to reflect on their hopes and dreams for 2nd grade, discuss feelings they have about transitioning to a new school for 3rd grade, get a sneak peek at Bailey’s Upper, and begin to think about their hopes and dreams for 3rd grade. We invite your rising third grade student to join us on Monday, May 24th at 10:30 AM via a Google Meet (https://meet.google.com/pct-owyw-ryh )
If you have any questions about this offering, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our School Counselors.

Garden Assistance Needed!
Dear Bailey’s Community,
This is Mr. Misch the science resource teacher at Bailey’s Primary.
I am seeking volunteers to help fill our beds in the new pollinator garden with shredded wood mulch. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID, instead of having a large number of volunteers on the property at one time, I would like to have small family groups. We could also consider having very small groups of high school students or Scouts who need service hours. If this is something you would like to consider, please contact me, Mr. Misch, at ffmisch@fcps.edu.
Thank you for your continued support.

Library Book Information
Hello, Families!
When students return to school, please have them bring in school library books that are in your homes. Virtual students can return books at the meal pickup area Wednesday-Friday 9:30-3:00. We will be happy to see them returned to the library! Thank you!

Attendance Matters!
Please make sure that your child attends school every day! If your child is now coming to school for in-person learning, it is extremely important that they come to school on their in-person learning days. If your child is sick, please keep them home and contact the school and their teacher. Students who are supposed to attend school in-person will be marked absent if they stay home and log in virtually without a proper excuse (sick, doctors appointment, etc.) Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.
