“Bucknell ES Class Placement for 2021-22 Parent Survey”

The process of planning for the 2021-2022 school year has already begun and will continue throughout the summer months. Part of this process involves placement of students in classrooms. When making assignments, factors such as students’ academic and social strengths and needs, work/study skills, and learning styles are considered. We strive to maintain heterogeneous groupings in classes. Within these classes, instructional groupings will be fluid and based at times on content, instructional strengths and needs, and/or student interest.
Although I would love to meet with every parent about their child, that, of course, is not possible. However, I would greatly appreciate any information about your child that you feel may affect his/her class placement. Requests for specific teachers will not be honored; rather, this is an opportunity for parents to share information about their child that would support learning. As I review the many factors affecting class placements, any additional information you provide would be helpful. Please complete the attached form and return it by Friday, June 4, 2021.
At this time, the school organizational plan and teacher assignments for 2021-2022 have not been determined. Since enrollment and staff changes occur throughout the summer, final class assignments will not be available until August.
Please use the attached form to assist with your child’s placement. Your support in this effort is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
LaRonda Peterson
