Character Strength of the Week
Leadership
What does leadership mean? You value each member of your group and inspire people to do their best.
This character strength’s focus is on the personal qualities of leaders, rather than the practice of leadership. These qualities include the ability to understand others and inspire them toward a common goal, the capacity to mitigate conflict and mold consensus, and the desire to lead other people.
Quote of the Week: “When the world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful…Let us remember: one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.’”-MALALA YOUSAFZAI

Thank you to our PTA and all of our Dranesville students, families, and community partners for making Staff Appreciation a special week for our staff. The yummy lunch, generous gift cards, and beach bag filled with treats were much appreciated!
2021-2022 Student Intention and Parent Input Form
We are looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year. We need your help in projecting our total enrollment for next school year. It is important that all families with students currently in PK through 5th grade complete the Student Intention Form.
For our families who will be returning, we value and welcome your input and insights about your child's strengths and needs in our class placement process. This is also an opportunity to share any specific concerns or considerations with our administrative team.
Please note that classes are formed with careful consideration to a number of factors. Note that specific teacher requests cannot be accepted. Class and teacher assignments will be communicated to families in August.
Student Intention and Parent Input form due Friday May 21, 2021.
