TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK IS THIS WEEK!! (May 3-7):
Let's show our amazing SLES teachers and staff some love this week during teacher appreciation week!
Students, please write notes, draw pictures, send short videos or emails to your classroom, specials, and resource teachers throughout the week to say thank you and show your appreciation for all their hard work this year! You can bring them into school, email them to teachers or upload them to your google classroom.
Room parents will organize class gifts for teachers to be delivered Friday, May 7th.
Contact your room parent or email slesroomparents@gmail.com with any questions.
Additionally, the PTA is organizing a number of great events for teachers: Monday: "thank you" goodie bags, Tuesday: breakfast from 7-11, Wednesday: Chick-Fil-A sandwiches for lunch, and Thursday: McAlister’s lunch.
THANK YOU, TEACHERS!

Family STEAM Night - 'At Home’ Edition
The PTA realizes that this is a busy time of year for families, so we may not be able to come all together on one night and play games. Instead of having a dedicated night, we will give out ‘Minute To Win It’-style games that can be played at home on any day you choose. More details coming soon.
2021/2022 PTA Board Nominations
The nominations committee is accepting nominations for the SLES PTA board for the upcoming school year! The Stratford Landing PTA has a rich history of active support and enrichment for our school. If you or someone you know has a heart to contribute to our school community in this capacity or has any questions about any of the vacancies, please contact us at board@slpta.org.
SLES Masks Available for Purchase
There is a small quantity of SLES face masks available for purchase for $5 each. Sizes & information available on the PTA website: https://slpta.org/product/sles-face-masks/. The proceeds from mask sales benefit the PTA and our fundraising goals this year.
SLES Family Needs Our Help to Cover Cancer Treatment Expenses
Dolphin pod! One of our very own SLES Dolphin families needs our help. This little future Dolphin, nicknamed Beautiful, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in July 2020 and has been bravely battling it ever since. A short time ago, changes were made to the family’s insurance so that now Beautiful's three-year treatment plan will not be covered. Mom can’t get a job right now because she’s the primary caregiver of her daughter. Not only that, this sweet girl is immune compromised so her siblings, who are SLES students now, must stay 100% virtual. We are omitting names to protect the family's privacy.
When one dolphin family needs help, we must come together to do what we can because we are stronger together! This family needs our help covering medical expenses.
*****Update: Thank you to all who have contributed, shared, and supported this dolphin family. Our community has been able to raise over $12.5K to help them pay for chemo treatments for Beautiful!
Please continue to share as you can with your networks.
Every time the link is shared, we see another bump in giving!
