Donations can be dropped of at the main office Wed. April 28th- Fri. May 7th from 7am-3:30pm

Get your markers, pencils, and computers ready! The PTA needs a new logo and we want one of our talented students to design it!
We are looking for a logo which will be used for our website, social media, printed material and more. This will become the official logo of the HMS PTA.
We would like the logo to represent the HMS Hawks and promote our mission to make every child’s potential a reality. The only requirement is that it is a “homemade” design! Drawings and/or graphic designs are accepted.
Submissions should be sent via email to in JPEG format to president@hmspta.com or to Mrs Bromberg at tlbromberg@fcps.edu.
The deadline is April 30. Our judges will choose a winner to receive a $50 gift card. Three runner ups will receive $10 gift cards.

Sports Tournament Challenge
The HMS PTA is excited to sponsor a summer “Sports Tournament Challenge” with Overtime Athletics. Rising 7-9th graders (co-ed) will meet from 9-11:30am at Armstrong Elementary - sign up for one, two or all three weeks! Early bird special until April 30th. A percentage of all registrations will come back to our PTA to support our students.

Send Good Thoughts
For Teacher Appreciation week in May, we are asking our community to “send good thoughts” about their favorite teachers and staff members. Do you have a nice story, compliment or kind words about a special member of the HMS team? We want to hear about it! Email President@hmspta.com by May 3rd. We will compile the good thoughts and post on social media throughout the week.

Yearbooks are now for sale!
HMS 2020-21 Yearbooks can now be purchased through MySchoolBucks for $20. Students and families must create an account in order to purchase a yearbook. We are not accepting cash for sales at this time. Please contant Erin Grogan at eagrogan@fcps.edu with any questions!

Students: Got something to say? We have all been through a LOT this year, and we want to hear how you're feeling. We're having a Poetry Slam THIS THURSDAY, 4/29, from 4-5 after school. Say your piece, speak your truth, and be heard by your community. Memorize and perform poetry you've written, or a poem you love written by someone else. Poems should be short, 5 minutes or less, and school-appropriate. Submit your practice performance via FlipGrid by 4/27 for review. The Flipgrid link and other information about the slam is posted in the Night Hawk Classroom (code: 4cktw4k).
