FCPS’ Update on Return to School Plans
FCPS believes that in-person instruction is the best model for our students and we are planning for five days of in-person instruction as the primary mode of learning for all FCPS students during the 2021-22 school year. Our data throughout the pandemic has shown that students do best socially, emotionally, and academically with in-person learning, while our recent return to school survey found that the largest percentage of students who report satisfaction were experiencing all face-to-face instruction, with 91% of families and 88% of staff saying they were satisfied with in-person instruction.
Virtual learning options are still being worked out for the fall but are likely to be limited to those who need to remain virtual due to health reasons. FCPS will share more details on our plans for virtual learning at the May 3 work session.

Reminder Parents/Guardians about Early Pick-up

For early pickup, please be at the school by 3:00 pm in order to allow the staff enough time to find your student in a timely fashion. Many times our students are in specials at the end of the day which require finding the child(ren) in specials, and then escorting your student(s) to the classroom to pick up their belongings and return him/her to the office. |
Kiss and Ride
 Due to the high volume of families utilizing the Kiss and Ride, all traffic entering the Kiss and Ride MUST enter by driving southbound on North Shore Drive and making a RIGHT into the Kiss & Ride Lot. Also, when exiting, all vehicles must make a RIGHT onto North Shore Drive. This will allow the Kiss & Ride loop to flow more steadily. Vehicles will no longer be allowed to make a left turn in or out of the Kiss & Ride Lot. Thank you for cooperating to allow our arrival and dismissal processes to run smoothly.
