Dogwood Digest - 4/22/2021

Dear Dogwood Families,

We know that throughout this unprecedented year our Dogwood teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to take care of our students. In the first week of May, we’ll celebrate Staff Appreciation Week. This has been quite a year and is definitely the one to show our staff our appreciation for all they do! Please consider how you might show your thanks to your child’s teacher and other staff who have been heroic this year!

As always, please let us know if you have any questions, celebrations, or concerns.

Your Dogwood Administrative Team,

Rachel Charlton          Katie Aldridge                 Kim Seck

Reminder: Face Masks Required On School Grounds

Face Mask

As we have welcomed greater numbers of in-person students for 4 days of learning in the building, we have also been able to see many of our wonderful parents and families at arrival and dismissal.  Please remember that everyone, all children and all adults, are required to wear face masks when on school grounds.

During the school day, all students are required to wear a mask, properly over their mouth and nose all day, except when eating. Students who are unable or unwilling to comply with this mitigation factor will be required to attend school virtually until they have learned to tolerate mask wearing. This will ensure a safe environment for all of our Dragons.

Dress Code Reminder

With warmer weather approaching, please remind your child/ren to be mindful of the FCPS dress code. Should a student arrive at school wearing clothing that is not school-appropriate, the office will need to call home for a parent/guardian to bring school appropriate clothes in and if not available, we have a limited number of pre-owned clothing available for them to wear for the remainder of the day.
