A Message from the Principal

Dear Ravensworth Families,

The school team has been working very hard to bring all of our current in-person students in 4 days per week beginning Tuesday, April 27th. Here are some updates to keep in mind as we make this transition.

 Important Information:

  • The number of students using Kiss N Ride will increase.  We ask for your patience as we continue to ensure each child’s safety in the loading zone.
  • Students will bring their laptops to school on Tuesdays and they will bring them home on Fridays.
  • Students in grades K-4 will eat breakfast in the cafeteria. Grades 5 and 6 will eat in their classrooms.
  • Students are welcome to bring in towels to sit on for when their classes eat outside.
  • We will continue to serve Grab and Go lunches.

We appreciate your continued partnership during this unique school year.

Sincerely,

Erika Aspuria

Principal

Positivity Project

Positivity Project Trait for the Week of April 19: Appreciation of Beauty and Elegance

Appreciation of beauty and excellence means you value the world's beauty and people's skills. You don't take things for granted.

This is the ability to identify and enjoy that which is admirable in the world. There are three types of goodness in which positive psychology focuses: physical beauty (e.g. a sunset, song, or building); an exceptional skill or talent; and moral goodness (e.g. a character strength). Appreciation of beauty can generate awe; appreciation of a skill can generate admiration; and appreciation of moral goodness can generate moral elevation. All of these feelings (awe, admiration, and moral elevation) help us forget ourselves and find increased joy and meaning in the world.
