Attendance Matters!

Attendance drives everything! It is tied to almost every aspect of school performance and future outcomes.

Students who frequently miss school:

  • Have lower financial security
  • Develop delinquent patterns that may lead to adult criminal behaviors
  • Are more likely to engage in risky behavior like substance abuse or gang activity
  • Are subject to school consequences such as loss of privileges or suspension

It’s important to communicate these and other needs to our Dean, SOSA, administrators, counselors, & clinicians.

New Bell Schedule

Begins Tuesday, 4/20/21

In order to accommodate in-person students 4 days per week, we have made adjustments to our bell schedule adding a fourth lunch.  Beginning Tuesday, 4/20, we will be following the bell schedule below.

Please note that the specific lunch period is dependent on the teacher and applies to both virtual and in-person students.

Check in with your School Counselor

FCHS along with FCPS has sent multiple messages over the past few months regarding decisions that effect the success of your child. We’ve compiled them on our website with recommended action steps (see link below). Once deadlines have passed, we will be unable to make adjustments or changes therefore, we recommend you review the website and check in with your child’s School Counselor ASAP.
