Dear Westbriar Families,
I sent an email this past Wednesday informing our community that we will accommodate 4 day of In-Person learning for families starting Tuesday, April 27th. We are assuming that all two-day students who did not receive an invitation from me will return to school four days a week. If you have concerns or issues with four days of attendance, please complete the google form link: https://forms.gle/ZoD4qEAUZDK11F3VA by Wednesday, April 21st so we can plan accordingly in our preparation for current In-Person return to school.
Families who received an invite from me last Friday, your children are still slated to start their 4 days of school starting this Tuesday, April 20th.
We are all excited to welcome back most if not all of our current In-Person students.
Please be sure you are aware of the following ways administration is communicating with families:
- Weekly Wednesday Folder newsletter. Classroom teachers send home Wednesday folder links via email. This newsletter link provide updates and information from administration and other specialists and resource teachers in the building who supports a variety of programs in our school.

Your PTA hopes you are enjoying a healthy and happy Spring. With more students slated to return to school, it should be a very exciting month. We have quite a few items in the works from the PTA as well, see below for details.

PTA SPONSORED EVENTS/UPDATES:
Westbriar Virtual Yearbook - Thanks to everyone who helped make the Yearbook possible this year! It will be ready for purchase at the beginning of May and will be ready for pickup at the end of May.
Westbriar Virtual 5k - Invite your family and friends to run or walk any time between May 14-24th for this fun and healthy opportunity to support the Westbriar PTA and the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia. Westbriar Science Fair - The Westbriar Science Fair will be virtual this year. This year's theme is "Exploring Science with Hands-On Experiments." Visit the Westbriar PTA website for more details. All Science Fair participants MUST register. The registration deadline is April 26th. Projects will be presented through Flipgrid. Please ensure your Flipgrid video is uploaded by midnight, May 9th. The Virtual Science Fair will be open on Flipgrid (http://flipgrid.com/79e31bac) from May 10th to May 16th for Westbriar students and parents to view and applaud!
Staff Appreciation Week - Staff Appreciation Week is quickly approaching. An email will be coming out soon telling you about the activities planned for the week, so keep an eye out! We want to show this wonderful Westbriar staff our love!
Volunteers needed - We are looking for PTA volunteers to run various events/activities/positions next year. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to me.
