Hello Glen Forest Families!

I hope this letter finds you and your family well and enjoying the spring weather that has moved into the area. In perfect timing with the beautiful weather, Glen Forest was fortunate to have one of our courtyard areas updated by FCPS’s Facilities Management Team. We are thankful for the project and know that the staff and students will take advantage of the peaceful space.

We are still in the planning phases of phasing more students back into the building for four days in response to the new CDC guidelines and the Superintendent’s directive. We are identifying students based on need, space and staffing. We will contact you if your child is eligible. Please refrain from contacting your child’s teacher to request that he/she attends for four days of in-person learning. We would love nothing more than all our eagles to be here each day! We thank you for you grace and patience during this time.

Have a great week!

Dee Dee Herndon-Wilson, Proud Principal of Glen Forest ES

Return to School Technology Updates

As more students are back in schools, the ability of school staff to provide students and parents with technology support is going to be increasingly limited. If you need technology support at home, please consult the FCPS Technology Support for Families page for troubleshooting assistance. If you need additional support, please contact the Parent Technology Help Desk at 833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). This will be answered by staff members between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Have you lost your P-EBT card and need a new one? There are two options to request help:

  1. Report a card lost and request a new card:
    1. Call the customer service line at 1-866-281-2448.
      1. Press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish.

This is an automated voice system and will ask the following:

  1. Enter the card number
      1. If you do not know the card number wait for them to ask a second time. There will then be menu options. Press 4 to report a card lost/stolen
    1. Enter primary card holder’s social security number
      1. If you do not have one, enter 000-00-0000
    2. Enter primary card holder’s birthday
      1. Enter in the following format: MM-DD-YYYY (e.g. 03-23-1975)
    3. Enter PIN
      1. If you do not remember, enter 0000

You may need to enter this a few times if the system cannot register the entered information. After this, you may be connected to a customer service representative for further help.

  1. Complete the P-EBT Inquiry Form online. There is also a Spanish language version.

***If you have not filled out a National Lunch Program (Free/Reduced Lunch) application for the 2020-21 school year, that is mandatory to receive a new card.***

The online application, available in multiple languages, is here: FCPS Free Reduced Lunch. Paper copies are also available.

This is a state level program, not something that Glen Forest ES or FCPS is in control of. We have very limited information about the ins and outs of this program. For more information, go to the P-EBT website: Virginia P-EBT
