Return to 4 Days a Week
The new CDC guidance has allowed us to invite some students to return to school In-Person four days a week based on building capacity and staffing. Twain has used its MTSS process to identify students and those families have already been contacted.
Next week in Learning Seminar
Students will learn details about our Spirit Week - April 26 to 30.
Lunch time activities will include “Minute to Win It” competitions and a schoolwide Kahoot game between teachers and students. Virtual Students will also be able to participate by collaborating and connecting with their In-Person peers. Twain is finishing off this school year with an emphasis on positive relationships in our school community.
Virtual Book Fair
April is National School Library Month, and the Twain Middle School library is pleased to announce our first-ever Twain Virtual Book Fair Online Store fundraiser, which will officially open on April 19! Twain community members can support the library while shopping this website for great books for middle school students, as well as for children and adults of all ages!
Our virtual book fair online store features lists of award-winning, staff-recommended, and popular books specially selected for the Twain community, as well as teachers’ classroom wish lists and a list of titles for our library collection book drive. The Twain Virtual Book Fair Online Store can be viewed at https://bit.ly/30fn973
The Twain Virtual Book Fair grand opening is on April 19, and the site will be available for the remainder of the school year. Thanks for supporting your school library, and happy reading!
Twain 2020-21 Yearbook
It has been difficult to gather photos for the 2020-21 yearbook, so we're asking for your help. If you did not take a picture at Twain this year, you can share your portrait or other photos for the Twain MS 2020-21 Yearbook by going to this website www.HJeSHARE.com.
The last day to share portraits or photos is April 26. See the flyer below for additional information including the school access code.
Here are some ideas of ways to share your stories in photos that would be great for our yearbook.
- You and your pets
- How do you keep fit?
- Do you have siblings?
- Do you have family game night?
- Family vacations
- Have you recently participated in sports (fall/winter)?
- Where's your reading space?
- Are you a crafter?
- Share the holidays you celebrate
- Do you have a variety of masks?
- Virtual assignments or special days in class
- New recipes you’ve tried
We need you to make this 2020-21 Yearbook your story! Please email Mrs. Howard at vjhoward@fcps.edu or vjhoward@fcpsschools.net with questions.
