Attention Parents of Rising 9th Graders: the Class Parents team of 2025 Needs YOU!
If you would like to be in the know and get involved at Langley High, please consider serving on the Class of 2025 Parent Committee! The Parent Committee is an amazing team of parents who serve for four years to support class activities. Typically, the class parent team consists of 8-10 parents who divide up the responsibilities and ensure that the LHS Class of 2025 has both rewarding and fun activities, and that the Class of 2025 enriches the Langley community. We would welcome volunteers for the following roles:
- Communications: maintain class website, post news in PTSA eNews, and generally assist with communications to Class of 2025 families
- All Night Grad Party (ANGP) Chair: in freshman and sophomore year, manage volunteers to set up for current class' ANGP; oversee clean-up junior year and senior year; plan ANGP for the class of 2025
- Class Photo/Slideshow Chair: collect photos for four years and prepare a class slideshow senior year*
Please contact Lead Parents, Christina Cain (primmcain@yahoo.com) and Allison Varacalli (allison.varacalli@att.net), if you are interested or have questions about serving on the Class of 2025 Parent Committee at LHS.

Unreturned Library Books
Ultimately, there are no fines and fees for books lost last year due to the pandemic, but school libraries have been asked to make one last push to get as many books returned as possible. While we don’t have as many overdue books as some schools do, we have lost just shy of $3,000.00 worth of library assets in overdue/lost books.

Overdue notices will be going out to students through their fcpsschools.net account and to the enrolling parent email address in the next two weeks. If you receive a notice, please take the time to take one last look through the house to see if the books can be found. Some of the missing books are from elementary school. If an elementary school book is found, you can return it to that school or bring it to Cooper. If you know the books are absolutely lost, please let me know.
Please email the librarian, Mrs. Psaltis at lmpsaltis@fcps.edu with any questions.
