Student Portraits have arrived!
Portrait packages and proofs will be sent home with our in-person students today and next Tuesday. Virtual families can call the office to come and pick up your portrait package.
It's not too late to order portraits, simply visit the Barksdale website and use the access code on the back of the proof booklet. www.barksdalephoto.com
Portrait re-take day will be Monday, May 3rd
by appointment only.
If you are not happy with your student's picture, please call the office to make an appointment to re-take the photo on May 3rd between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. 703-802-5000

2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please put books on hold by noon on the Wednesday before your curbside pickup date. Please return any books at that time.

It's hard to believe it is time to start thinking about next school year. In order to make the best class placement for your child, we ask for your input on how your child best learns and any special considerations when placing students in classrooms. We cannot honor requests for specific teachers.

Student Intentions for the 2021-2022 School Year
In planning for next school year, we need parents/guardians to complete the attached Student Intention Form to let us know if your student will, or will not return to Deer Park ES next year, and if not, where they will be attending school.
Please complete the form which can be downloaded and emailed to our Registrar here.
Calling Rising Kindergarteners!
Students that turn five on or before September 30, 2021 are eligible to register for Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. Registration is in progress!
If any of your neighbors have children who will be eligible for Kindergarten, please share this information with them, as we are especially interested in reaching those families who do not have children currently attending school.

Food Truck Friday- CANCELED
The food truck for this Friday of Pankos Takos Grill has been CANCELED due to a family emergency. Please check our Food Truck Friday schedule for the next event on April 16th.

Collecting Donations for FUN RUN Fundraiser in May
Our Fun Run committee is looking for any donations to use towards prizes since we have a limited budget this year. Please consider donating gift cards from local restaurants, from your work, big prize items, etc. If you have any questions, please email the Fun Run Committee at MFCampet@fcps.edu.
Afterschool clubs canceled
