Absences Policy Updates
If your student is scheduled to be in the building on a certain day but, instead, needs to attend classes virtually, it is very important to let us know! Please contact the attendance office so we don't worry why your student is not in the building. FCPS eNotify messages will also go out to parents who have not reported their student's in-person or virtual absence.
IMPORTANT: Per new FCPS policy, any student scheduled for in-person instruction who has not yet attended school in-person by March 26th will be automatically switched to virtual instruction for the remainder of the school year.

Engineering Supply Pickup
During the week of April 5-9, the Engineering Department is having a supply pickup for your child's upcoming Structures Project. Students who are attending in person do not need a parent/guardian to pick up supplies, they will be sent home with your child.
Online only Students: On Monday, April 5, Mr. Bolt and Mr. Eggers will be located outside of the main entrance (Door #1) with supplies. For Monday only, we are asking that parents/guardians pull up to the curb and stay in their car. We will either hand you the supplies or put them in the trunk of your car. Your child will let you know that they need supplies for either the TOWER (Level 1) or BRIDGE (Level 2) project. Below is the schedule for pickup times and location.
-
Monday, April 5 (10:00AM-2:00PM) Pull up to curb outside of main entrance (Door #1). Please stay in your car.
-
Tuesday-Friday April 6-9 (7:00AM-3:00PM) Park your car and come to the main entrance. A RCMS staff member will give you the supplies you need. Please indicate either TOWER or BRIDGE project.
Course Requests for 2021-2022
Course Requests for Rising Seventh and Eighth Graders: To see the list of courses that your child selected for seventh or eighth grade, please log into your SIS ParentVUE account and click on the course requests tab. Directions for how to view your child’s course requests online in ParentVUE can be accessed at the following link: Online Course Requests in ParentVue. Students can also view their list of courses on the course request tab in SIS StudentVUE.
This list of courses is NOT a schedule, but a confirmation of the courses entered into the student information system. Elective choices are subject to change based on space, teacher availability, and schedule conflicts. Please review this preliminary list of courses and look for the following errors: Too few or too many classes, absence of a required course, inaccurate placement by grade or course level.
Parents, please contact your child’s school counselor if you have questions or concerns about the selected courses. Course requests are a firm commitment. Course request changes will not be accommodated after June 4.
