Welcoming Back More Falcons
 It has been a joy welcoming back more Falcons in Group 6 (Grades 1 & 2) this week, and we are looking forward to our in-person Falcons in Group 7 (Grades 3-6) returning next week! Our incredible and dedicated teachers and staff continue to learn and grow as they embrace concurrent instruction, simultaneously supporting students in-person and at home. We also continue to tweak our school-wide routines and procedures to keep health and safety at the forefront as we phase in more students. Thank you, families, for your patience, grace, and partnership as we move forward in this new instructional model. The smiles on students' faces and staff we we have reunited has been amazing to see!

ST Math March Madness is Underway!
 This Monday kicked off Forestdale's ST Math March Madness! Each week, two classes will play against each other to see who can complete the most puzzles in ST Math. The class who plays the most puzzles will advance on to the next week! In addition, a class from each grade level will be awarded the MVP of the week for earning the most puzzles! Students can access ST Math through their Clever Login using their FCPS username and password.
Spring Picture Days: March 24 & 26
Our students will have an opportunity to take spring school portraits! Spring Picture Days will held on Wednesday, March 24 and Friday, March 26 at Forestdale. Students who attend school in-person on either of those days will have their picture taken while they are at school. Students who are remaining all virtual will have the opportunity to sign up for a time after school on each of those days to come to the school and have their picture taken. All photos will be taken following strict social distancing guidelines. If your student is remaining all virtual, please CLICK HERE to sign up for a time to have your student's photo taken.

2020-2021 Yearbook Information
Student Contributions Needed for "Our Story"
The Forestdale Yearbook Committee is in the process of putting together the 2020-2021 yearbook. The theme of the yearbook is based upon "Our Story". We would like for our students to share their stories about their experiences at Forestdale this school year. Students can share their experience as a virtual learner or in-person learner. The experiences can be in the form of a poem, short story, picture of your child learning with a caption, or artwork. We are eager to learn about your child's experience this school year as a Forestdale Falcon. Please submit entries using this google form by March 26th.

Forestdale Welcomes a New Bike Fleet
 Ms. Brod and Mr. Bergin, P.E. teachers, give two thumbs up to Forestdale's new bike fleet! Thanks to a partnership with FCPS Safe Routes to School, Forestdale was the recipient of a permanently donated bike fleet for use in a bicycle riding P.E. unit. Students and families loved this unit last year, and we are excited to be able to continue to offer this learning experience to students in the future!

Nominate a Staff Member of the Month
Did you know that each month the PTA randomly selects one staff member as “Staff Member of the Month” to receive a $20 Amazon gift card as a way to show our appreciation for the great work they’re doing? We’d love to get your help selecting the staff member each month. If you would like to nominate an outstanding Forestdale staff member, please use this Google form and let us know why they should be selected. Each month, we’ll select one staff member from these nominations to be the “Staff Member of the Month”. PTA Board Elections
An upcoming school year means a new PTA election. For next year, we are seeking people who would like to take over each of our PTA board positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. According to our by-laws, PTA board positions can only be held for two years.
