Looking forward to our 7th graders return #9

sro

Welcome to Kilmer MS!  Our new SRO, Jason Edminster, gets to know our students while he teaches a class.

A message from Principal, Amy Miller:

Dear Kilmer Families,

As we welcome more students back to our building this week, it was wonderful to see the virtual student and in-person student connections. In Spanish class the in-person students and the virtual students were practicing their conversation skills by greeting each other. In science class, both the in-person students and the virtual students were able to conduct an experiment to learn about conduction. The Kilmer Advanced Band Class sounded amazing as the in-person and the virtual students practiced together and it was great to see the rigorous workout that students were engaged in during PE.

Welcome to Officer Jason Edminster, our new School Resource Officer. Officer Edminister is looking forward to building positive relationships with the students. Just in his first two weeks he has spent time in classrooms, playing games with students outside during breaks, and getting to know students during lunch. We are happy to have Officer Edminster as part of our Kilmer Community.

Monday, March 8 is a student holiday. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.

Sincerely,

Amy Miller, Principal

FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback

During the next two weeks, all Kilmer Middle School parents/guardians will be contacted through email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form Online. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources management, organizational management, communication and community relations and professionalism. Understanding that this has been an unusual year, the impacts of COVID-19 will be taken into consideration when reviewing the feedback.

The questionnaire will be collected online between March 8 and March 19. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Thank you!
