Churchill Road's New Playground Installation
Please be advised that our brand new playground installation is scheduled to begin this week. For your safety, our playground and blacktop area will be inaccessible for community use while the playground is being installed. This work is slated to last approximately one month.
We want to take a moment to thank all of those in our Churchill Road community who made this new playground possible.
We are grateful for the collaboration and support of our PTA, led by Christie Buschmann, for making this a reality. A big thank you to the PTA Playground Committee, led by Jenny Gillespie, for the many hours of planning. Thank you Marci Love Thomas for your grant writing efforts. To our retired Principal, Mr. Hutzel, and last year’s PTA President, Laurine Maimone, we thank you for your leadership as this exciting project began. Additionally, we want to extend a sincere thank you to the FCPS community, The McLean Community Foundation, and Mr. Pete Dailey of FCPS' Facilities team.
To our Churchill Road Elementary School Family of students, parents, and staff, this would not have happened without any of you, and we celebrate this exciting new playground with you!
